Giving Voice To The Artistic Community
We've always tried to make sure underrepresented voices get heard.
Plinth was born from a community of artistic entrepreneurs with fresh ideas and important causes. We're continuing our tradition by helping the crowdfunding campaign for the Ma'ARTES Festival. Heres two past projects we helped to produce.
World Class Musical Acts
As part of the Poleng Lounge, we helped to produce shows that gave helped expose the community to emerging international musical acts like The RZA, Aloe Blacc and Dam Funk.
Low Rider art show
We also helped to produce a low rider art show in the Summit SF's Peek Gallery on Valencia St. in the Mission. The show helped bring a Chicano art form back to the rapidly changing Mission District.
Support Free Outdoor Performances
We’re looking for new backers to help bring this exciting family friendly arts festival to the SOMA.
Plinth is partnering with local non-profit organizations to crowdfund an exciting new multi-disciplinary arts festival called Ma’ARTES. We are looking for your support at any level to help provide FREE OUTDOOR performances by emerging and world renowned artists as well family festivals throughout weekends in May.
Here are just a few of the activities you’d be help make FREE to the PUBLIC:
- An outdoor tribal dance interpretation of Shakespeare’s Tempest called Maség at the Yerba Buena Gardens
- An American Conservatory Theater outdoor musical performance called Felix Starro.
- A Barrio Fiesta, which is a traditional Filipino neighborhood festival featuring dance and a whole roasted pig called a lechon.
- An art gallery exhibition called Kodakan being held at the I-Hotel Manilatown Center
